Why attend?: If you want to learn how to write and argue in a good, convincing and scientific way.

Maybe you are facing your Master's Thesis, maybe a written assignment - or maybe you just want to learn how you can improve your language and argumentations. No matter the reason you will be introduced to specific tools that will help you enhance your disposition, your language and your argumentation, so your hard work is well communicated.

Olivier Danvy will talk about the requirements for your communication skills when you are presenting your work in the field of computer science. He will use examples to illustrate how you can build up a good structure, relate to message and messenger issues and how to handle questions.

External speaker Linda Greve will talk about the academic genre and through concrete examples from Master's Thesis' written at computer science she will illustrate how you build up a good and scientific argumentation and how you can improve you communication and argumentation skills.
