Claudio Orlandi is starting his PhD in cryptography at Daimi from
November 1 under the supervision of Ivan Damgård, but he´s not a new face here. In fact, he has been in Århus for six months this year to work on his thesis with Ivan and Jesper Buus Nielsen about "Oblivious Transfer in the Universally Composable Security Framework". He got both his bachelor and master degree with full grades in Computer Engineering from the University of Florence, Italy, where he's also from.

Thomas King is a Ph.D student at the University of Mannheim. Thomas will be visiting until the end of november. His research area is indoor location systems.
